What type of person is this not going to work for ?
The person who wanted to be fixed yesterday. We all like to be able to feel better as soon as possible. This is also a goal for me to help you but sometimes we just have to be patient and if there is to be lasting change this sometimes takes time.
What is acupuncture ?
Acupuncture is the use of fine needles inserted into specifically selected points on the body allowing us to access and regulate vital energy in the body. Please see acupuncture explanation click here.
How long have you been doing what you do and how did you get to be a therapist ?
I’ve been practicing acupuncture since graduating in 2002 and Soseitai since receiving my second level Soseitai Trainer certificate in 1998. I also have experience with Seiho which I’ve been using off and on for about the last 25 years.
Who are your clients exactly ?
I work with people like you who feel out of balance, who struggle with health issues big or small and would like long term alternative / complimentary solutions with few side effects that target your individual needs.
What happens during your first appointment ?
I will need to assess your condition, and gather information from you with regards to your health and lifestyle history. We can then discuss treatment options and a treatment plan that suits your needs.
Can I order a product and have it posted to me ?
Your order will be processed within 48 hours after it has been submitted (if in stock). Once processed your order will be sent via Post Haste couriers (New Zealand only). Delivery is usually overnight for the North Island and two days for the South Island (excluding weekends).
How are you different from other therapists ?
What separates my services from other therapists is a unique method of muscular skeletal balance which I compliment with acupuncture and or other alternative methods.
What types of people do you work best with and what is expected of me ?
I work with all types of people in general as long as you are open to ideas. I sometimes ask you to make changes in diet, lifestyle or exercise to help aid the recovery process, these can be hard sometimes but may also give you some insight into why the problem occurred in the first place and may make it easier for you to maintain in the end.
What is Soseitai ?
Soseitai is a type of movement therapy .this method is used to rectify muscular holding patterns the lead to dysfunction and illness. We balance the body using resistance and gentle manipulation techniques this corrects the body posture to it’s natural state of balance. Please see Soseitai explanation click here.
Do these methods really work ?
Acupuncture is becoming more widely used, there is now more research being done to validate its effectiveness. The World Health Organisation now recognises more than 120 conditions that are suitable for treatment using Acupuncture. Please see conditions click here.
Although Soseitai is not widely known in New Zealand It is used extensively in Japan. My experience with this has been interesting. I have seen results using this technique that the clients hadn’t had with other therapies such as massage, chiropractic care, osteopath etc Also see Soseitai explanation, click here.
What results can I expect ?
Everyone is different so results vary but in general results are positive. Some people only experience very small changes but others can be dynamic.
Please read testimonials., click here
Can I contact any of your former clients to see what it’s like to work with you ?
Several of my clients have offered to speak to new clients who would like to ask about their experience in working with me. I can arrange for you to contact these people.
How quickly can I expect results ?
Most people feel some relief directly after a treatment this may be short term initially but the effect generally consolidates with further treatments.
